Pakistan have fallen to the bottom of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 rankings after a 90-run defeat to West Indies in the opening Test at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy. It was Pakistan’s eighth straight defeat, leaving them with just one win from five matches and a points percentage (PCT) of 6.66.West Indies, despite the win, remain eighth in the rankings with two wins from 11 Tests. India are currently fifth with four wins, four losses and one draw from nine matches, while Australia continue to lead the table ahead of defending champions South Africa.After being bowled out for 311 in the first innings, led by Shai Hope’s 92 and Kevam Hodge’s 84, West Indies restricted Pakistan to 282 despite Shan Masood’s century. Justin Greaves played with the ball, claiming a five-wicket haul.The hosts then recovered from 93/7 in the second innings thanks to a crucial 61-run stand between Kemar Roach and Shamar Joseph, which set Pakistan a target of 211.Pakistan’s batting collapsed under pressure as they were bowled out for just 120. Babar Azam remained unbeaten on 58 but found little support from the rest of the batting order. Jayden Seales played with the ball, taking 5/20, while Greaves and Roach took two wickets each to seal a memorable win for the West Indies.
