Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the 2026 Level 12 make-up exam tomorrow (July 28) at test centers across the country. The exam provides another opportunity to students classified in the compartment category to clear subjects in which they could not clear in the regular board examinations.This year, around 1.63 lakh students have been placed in the compartment category after the CBSE Class 12 board examinations to be held from February 17 to April 10, 2026.Candidates taking the make-up exam must bring their admission ticket, valid photo ID and required stationery to the exam center. They are also expected to arrive at the venue on time and carefully follow all instructions issued by the Board.

The main subject examinations include English Core, Hindi Core, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Computer Science, History, Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, Home Science, Applied Mathematics and some language papers and will be conducted from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.For vocational subjects like food production, front office operations, banking, marketing, healthcare, insurance, fashion studies, business administration, etc., the exam will start at 10:50 am and end at 1:30 pm.

Candidates should keep the following instructions in mind before taking the exam:
- Please do not bring mobile phones, smart watches or any other electronic communication devices within the test centre.
- Possession or use of prohibited electronic devices may result in action under the Unfair Means (UFM) rules.
- Be disciplined and follow all instructions of the proctor.
- Check the exam duration carefully on the official date sheet and admit card.
- Students will have an additional 15 minutes to read the test paper before the exam begins.
