Stand-up comedian and actor Anubhav Singh Bassi recently shared his thoughts on the international protests surrounding the NEET controversy, posting a heartfelt message on social media. In it, he praised Gen Z for their ingenuity and approach to creating shows, while also showing that they support the challenges they cause.

On his Instagram Stories, Bassi posted a picture from Monday’s Chalo Sansad rally in Delhi, where the police used lathi charges against many protesters. The photo showed a police officer waving his lathi, while a female protester stood up, protecting her fellow protesters from harm.In the explanation, he wrote: “Ye hamari waali generation nahi hai jo bachpan ki trauma jawani pe daale aur jawani ka budhape pe, easily manipulate nahi hote hein ye. ‘They have rights’ sun ke hi bade hue hein aur sharp toh ye behadd hain. Childhood trauma in their youth and in their old age is not used easily and they grow up knowing about their rights before ABCD they know what ADHD is.”
He added, “Aur creative ye itne hain ki 2 ghante mein rap bhi likh dete hein aur 10 minutes mein meme tayyar hota hain inka. Humein inhe competencey aur sympathy se aage leke chalna chahiye, athy se chid hein inhe. Officials and protesters give conflicting stories
Delhi authorities said that the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protesters turned unruly and violent during Monday’s protest in New Delhi, resorting to violence. They said that despite being repeatedly warned and given official instructions by the police to disperse, the protesters ignored these instructions and deliberately violated the prohibition laws that had been put in place. On the other hand, the protesters allege that the Delhi Police acted indiscriminately, which led to many injuries. Television footage showed police using lathi charges and tear gas on the students, and protesters also said unidentified people in plain clothes, without police documents, also beat them.
Almost a month of protest at Jantar Mantar
The student-led protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has been going on at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for almost a month now, with activist Sonam Wangchuk and other students later joining them on a hunger strike. Their main demand is the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak and other exam-related irregularities, and further calls for reforms in education.
