In an interview with ETimes, film industry analyst Komal Nahta shared his achievements and future prospects. He said that Jana Nayagan “will do good business in Tamil,” but added that the Hindi dubbed version may not do well. Nahta also agreed that the film serves as a fitting gateway to Vijay’s career, as it marks his last outing on the big screen.As things stand this film still lags behind Vijay’s last film, ‘The Greatest Of All Time’ or ‘GOAT’ which made more than Rs 44 crore on its opening day.Etimes also spoke to business expert Taran Adarsh, who shared that he believes that ‘Jana Nayagan’ is expected to set a new “mark” at the opening of the film. When asked about the reception of the film in the North Indian market, he said that it is too early to comment as the film is still in its first day of release. He said that the midweek release is not the right thing to judge the success of the film and that a clear picture will emerge from Friday onwards.
