JPSC postpones 9 recruitment exams until further notice; civil services, key tests postponed
The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has postponed nine recruitment exams, including the Comprehensive Civil Service Main Examination, citing unavoidable reasons. The postponement comes amid an ongoing investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department into alleged exam irregularities that has led to a number of arrests. Since the revised exam dates have not yet been announced, candidates will have to wait for the new timetable.

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has postponed nine major recruitment examinations scheduled to be held between July and September 2026, including the much-awaited Jharkhand Combined Civil Service Main Examination. The board said in an official notification that the exams have been postponed due to “unavoidable reasons”.The notification said that the Jharkhand Union Civil Service Main (Written) Competitive Examination-2025 (Advertising No. 01/2026) scheduled to be held from July 25 to July 27, 2026 has been postponed until further orders.The committee further clarified that all remaining examinations listed in the 2026 examination calendar released on July 9, 2026, have also been postponed indefinitely. No revised exam dates have been announced so far.

  • Jharkhand Combined Civil Service Main Examination 2025 – July 25 to July 27, 2026
  • Jharkhand Union Civil Service Main (Written) Backlog Exam 2025 – August 8 to August 10, 2026
  • Jharkhand Union Civil Service Main (Written) Backlog Exam 2023 – August 1 to August 3, 2026
  • Civil Judge (Junior Category) Written Examination – 6-7 September 2026
  • Assistant Prosecutor (Backlog) Written Examination – September 8 to September 12, 2026
  • Factory Inspector (Advertisement No. 01/2025) Written Examination – 11-12 September 2026
  • Project Manager Written Exam – September 19-20, 2026
  • Assistant Prosecutor (General) Written Examination – September 25 to September 29, 2026
  • Boiler Inspector (Advertisement No. 02/2025) Written Examination – 26-27 September 2026

Exams postponed amid investigation into alleged irregularities

The massive postponement comes amid an ongoing investigation by the commission into alleged misconduct related to competitive exams.According to reports, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) recently arrested five persons, including Deputy Director of Examinations Shweta Gupta, in raids related to alleged examination irregularities.Others arrested include Ramvir Singh, director of TSR Data Processing Private Limited, Md Usman, Md Ebad and Abhay Kumar Tiwari.The CID said that the case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Jharkhand Competitive Examinations (Measures for Control and Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2023.This is association The official notification shall prevail.Candidates are advised to pay close attention to the official website for complete details of the JPSC exam postponement.
